SCHOOL LINKED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

As a School Linked Mental Health Therapist at Hartley School, this opportunity includes flexible work schedules, paid continuing education, ongoing training in mental health, opportunities to follow your passions and interests, potential career advancement, and more.


At Fernbrook Family Center we provide mental health services by using innovative strategies to build relationships and transform lives. We provide services to clients of all ages; from birth through adulthood.


We are hiring for a full-time position with no weekends required and ability to set your own schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in one of the behavioral science field (social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy)
  • Licensure completed OR on track toward LMFT, LPCC, or LICSW


Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate clinical competence while providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and their families
  • Collaborate with school systems, caregivers, outside agencies, and school staff
  • Create effective working relationships with colleagues and community partners
  • Work in collaborations with culturally diverse populations (students and their families) in host schools to increase awareness and identification of mental health issue
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments
  • Helping clients manage their mental health symptoms by providing therapy and skills to youth, and families
  • Maintain all required documentation
  • Maintain progress towards licensure and follow requirements of supervision as applicable
  • Some travel is required
  • This position is year around

  • Opportunity to be commission based with yearly income of $52k to $65k


Pay Range: Qualified Mental Health Professional’s

  • Salary range $62k-66k
  • Opportunity to be commission based with yearly income of $62k-85k

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences or related field and has completed an internship/practicum in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental health illness
  • 30 semester hours/45 quarter hours (about 1 year as a full-time student) relevant coursework and 2,000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental health illness
  • Masters or other graduate degree in a behavioral science or related field


Responsibilities:

  • Helping clients manage their mental health symptoms by providing skills based training to youth, adults, families, and groups
  • Ability to work in a group setting or working with client(s) individually 1:1
  • Ability to preserve professionalism when working with client(s) and their families
  • Maintain all required documentation
  • Non-traditional work hours including some evenings
  • Some travel is required
