Mental Health Practitioner

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping clients manage their mental health symptoms by providing skills based training to youth, adults, families, and groups
  • Maintain all required documentation
  • Non-traditional work hours including some evenings
  • Some travel is required


Requirements include:

Candidates must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) in one of the following ways:

  •  one year of coursework in a human service field and 2,000 hours of experience with children and adults with mental health concerns or
  •  one year of course work in a human service field and related internship/practicum experience or
  • a bachelor’s degree in a human service field & related internship placement experience or 
  • a master’s degree in related field
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, valid automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass criminal background check based on agency and Department of Human Services requirements

Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist

Start making an impact today as a full-time or part-time Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist. In this role you will carry a caseload of varying ages with majority being ages 0-5. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and their caregivers.


This opportunity includes specialized early childhood training & ongoing support provided, career advancement, and licensure supervision reimbursement & in-house licensure supervision options available.


Responsibilities include:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Provide therapy services to children and their families in center base, day-care,      school, and in home/community settings
  • Complete any required paperwork for therapy cases (DA, ECSII, CBCL, treatment      plans.)
  • Attend and engage in individual supervision and staff meetings
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication within Fernbrook
  • Attend any ECMH meetings including quarterly birth to 5 meetings and team lead      meetings
  • Continue to build and maintain relationships with the community (i.e. attending IEP      meetings, completing observations for school per request, support child      care staff in working with our staff and the clients we serve)
  • Maintain progress towards licensure and follow requirements of supervision as      applicable
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in one of the behavioral science fields (psychology, social work, counseling, and/or related field)
  • Qualified applicant must be licensed as LMFT, LPCC, LP, LICSW, or eligible to pursue      licensure

School Link Mental Health Therapist

Family Mental Health Therapist

We are looking to add a full-time Family Therapist. You will carry a caseload of varying ages from 6 years old to the aging population (6 and up). This position will be multidisciplinary and will support multiple programs including day treatment, outpatient services, home and community services, and school based mental health services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, their caregivers, and couples.

Regional Admin Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides general office support with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks. This position will be responsible for supporting staff, answering and directing incoming calls, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional administrative duties.


Responsibilities include:

  • Answer the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Greet and direct visitors and clients to Fernbrook
  • Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail and coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
  • Operates office machines as required
  • Provides administrative support for 3 locations
  • Processes records requests and releases
  • Manages staff and program changes in client module
  • Process SDQ forms in timely and accurate manner
  • Update monthly activity receipt spreadsheet
  • Communicate and reflect Fernbrook Family Center’s mission internally and externally
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


Travel: This position requires travel to counties Fernbrook serve based on organizational needs and responsibilities.


Requirements include:

  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, valid automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass criminal background check based on agency and Department of Human Services requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an office environment
  • Minimum two years of experience providing customer service
